» Pamela Anderson - Very Famous Lady from Baywatch

Pamela Anderson has succeeded in staying popular and famous despite her rather modest professional accomplishments. Hmmm. Sound familiar? Paris Hilton fits that description as well. Thanks to internet distribution, they share another ignominous distinction. I suppose that's not a bad career move to remain ever present in the minds of your fans.

The story goes that Pamela was subsequently "discovered" in 1989 when she was wearing a Labatt's beer t-shirt at a football game. We can't find anyone to confirm that myth, but she was in fact, hired shortly after by Labatt's to promote their product. And, after the Labatt's gig, it was only natural that she would follow that up with a spread in Playboy Magazine. What?

Perhaps because of her Playboy work and the sex tape that spread like wildfire on the Internet, few people remember that Anderson's first major television role was on the hit television sitcom Home Improvement (1991-1993). But again, thanks to the insane popularity of Baywatch all over the globe, tens of millions of fans will always know Pamela as C J Parker (1992-1997) on Baywatch.

Did you know that Pamela Anderson was a model and an actress? She's undoubtedly received far more attention for her tumultous personal life. She married rock star Tommy Lee of the band Mötley Crüe only four days after going on their first date.

    Here's a great list:

  • Anderson has filed for divorce twice and reconciled twice
  • Engaged twice since her marriage to Tommy Lee
  • Unwittingly appeared in a pornagraphic film
  • Had a stranger break into and sleep in home
  • Contracted Hepatitis C
  • Accused of assaulting Paparazzi

Anderson became a naturalized citizen of the United States on May 12, 2004, while retaining her Canadian citizenship. She has lived in California since 1989. She is currently a columnist for the Canadian Elle magazine and voices the title character on the animated series Stripperella.

In 2004, Pamela Anderson released the book Star, in which she describes a young teenager doing different things in order to reach fame. After this, she began touring across the States, signing autographs to fans at Wal-Mart stores nationwide.

In 2003, Anderson released a letter in support of PETA's boycott of Kentucky Fried Chicken; stating, "What KFC does to 750 million chickens, each year, is not civilized or acceptable."

What would that many chickens do with themselves anyway? Play bridge? Raid a fox den?

And them chickens. They sure tastes good.
