When Angelina Jolie was bombarded with praise for her role in A Mighty Heart in June 2007, America suddenly remembered: Oh, yeah. She’s an actress, too, isn’t she?

She’s appeared in films regularly since 1999, but since 2004 she’s been best-known as a humanitarian baby-collector who trots the globe in search of orphaned children to adopt. She became so strongly associated with that, in fact, that the public forgot she’d also been a home-wrecker, breaking up Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston when she and Pitt worked together on Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

And before THAT, she was best-known for being a semi-creepy bisexual Goth chick who had a thing for blood, and who said she was in love with her brother at the Oscars. She was a nutcase, in other words. Men were turned on by her while simultaneously being terrified of her. And now she’s the acting equivalent of Bono, a professional do-gooder and a responsible citizen of the world.

At the tender age of 27, supermodel and superstar Gisele Bundchen is easily one of the world’s most famous faces. The Brazilian born model has graced the cover of thousands of magazines and is currently the face of over a dozen products worldwide. Bundchen is also considered to be the world’s richest supermodel, but life isn’t all roses for this Brazilian beauty. A recent well publicized relationship with NFL Superstar Tom Brady and his rocky relationship with his ex Bridget Moynahan whom Brady knocked up, has given Bundchen a sultry and racy edge. From the driving force behind Destiny’s Child to a hugely successful solo career and even an impressive film career, Beyonce has done an incredible job keeping her head above controversy, well, expect for that PETA incident, but really, who hasn’t pissed PETA off? Beyonce has accomplished more before the age of 30 than most people could in two lifetimes. It’s scary to think what this diva has planned for the future. The poverty-stricken streets of Africa were the backdrop for 19-year-old Super model Gemma Ward.

Gemma Ward spoke to an Australian Newspaper for the first time after a recent trip to Malawi brought her face to face with the crushing poverty that makes her life on the catwalks seem almost comical.

Several super models have lent their name (and faces) to important causes around the world, though a good many more have not taken advantage of their fame to help a charitable organization. It’s great to see that at such an early age, Ward already has that sense of giving back.

For Ward, going to Malawi was a life-changing experience.

Her career is white hot and planning to capitalize on that, the 19 yr. model has a goal of raising $500,000 in the next four years to fight poverty in Africa.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell spends approximately $700 on eyelash extensions every six weeks. Ouch. Not sure which is worse, the money or the time lost. Naomi spends four hours in a London salon that specializes in applying giant luscious lashes. The salon will also give you Eagle talons for the right price. They take a bit longer to apply.

With eyelash extensions, she gets all the effects of mascara without the fuss of clogging make-up and, at night, she doesn’t have to waste time removing every last trace of it, a source says. Great time saving tip - I’ll shell out the $700, spend four hours in the salon and save 10 minutes a night not removing my mascara. If I do that for 24 days straight, I’ll get those 4 hours back!!

An almost unrecognizable Kate Moss models the next phase of her Topshop clothing range in the November issue of i-D magazine.

A smoky-eyed Kate wears a messy white-blonde wig with a blunt fringe and reclines on a bed to model some of the collection’s more revealing pieces.

The supermodel will be hoping to replicate the success of her debut collection for Topshop which notched up sales of $6m in its first week. It’s hard to argue with any look she chooses as she pulled in a whopping $5 million last year, with very little runway work.

With shoots as hot as this, we don’t think she’s gonna have a problem with that.

Topshop is making plans to open in the U.S. They are expected to open in New York in Spring of 2007 and then on to the other progressive states. They’ve also recently announced that Kate Moss will be designing a new label for them.

Who hasn’t written a (good) post or an article that wasn’t hijacked and turned into something only slightly reminiscent of the original? Imitation and flattery, together again.

When we wrote an article on Paris Hilton, it spread like wild-fire. It was posted on entertainment sites, blogs and other article repositories, mostly credited to us. But the best versions were the ones put through a synonymizer (article blender), resulting in new works that, bless those poor deviants’ hearts, were far more poetic and inventive than we ever thought possible — maybe even better than the original.

Reports claim that “the supermodel has impressed her friends with the quality of her creations, and is now planning to show off the artwork to a wider audience.”

Whoa, stop right there. If this celebrity sells a piece of art after painting for “a couple of weeks,” I’m gonna eat my shoes.
